Privacy
DotJamr is designed to minimise stored data and reduce long term exposure of sensitive information.
No accounts
DotJamr does not require user accounts. There are no profiles, inboxes, or message history tied to individuals.
Client side encryption
Messages are encrypted in your browser before transmission. The server stores encrypted data only and does not store readable message content.
Link mode
In Link mode, the decryption key is stored in the URL fragment. Under normal web behaviour, browsers do not send this fragment to the server. Anyone with the full link can open the message once.
Keyword mode
In Keyword mode, the encryption key is derived from a keyword chosen by the sender. The server never receives this keyword. Without the correct keyword, the encrypted message cannot be decrypted.
Automatic deletion
Messages are deleted immediately after a successful open. If a message is not opened, it is automatically deleted after the selected expiry time.
Technical logs
Like most web services, DotJamr may collect limited technical information such as IP addresses, browser type, and timestamps in server logs. This information is used for security, abuse prevention, and operational stability.
Third party services
If third party services are introduced in the future, such as analytics, payment providers, or hosting infrastructure, they may process limited technical data as part of operating the service. DotJamr does not sell personal data.
User responsibility
Once a message is viewed, the recipient may copy, store, or screenshot it. DotJamr limits message persistence but cannot control actions taken after viewing.
